I skipped a final.

I walked out on my math final this morning. I hurt so bad. Like I said in the first entry I posted today, I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow.

But it’s okay. I have a feeling I did pretty good. …Maybe. It’s a very small feeling, because I took one look at it and all I could think was “Greaaaatttttt”. 25 questions. Mhm.

Because of the pains I am having, sleeping is simply out of the question. I would rather stay up all night long and have to go to work (even though I haven’t a job… 1/10 job applications filled out!) in the morning without having any energy than toss and turn from pain throughout the night. -.-

I skipped my speech final, but Cherie said I’m passing anyway! πŸ™‚ I had e-mailed her telling her why I was missing it. I’m responsible like that! πŸ˜‰

This summer I will be taking three classes. Two is full-time, but there are three classes I’d love to go ahead and just … take. They’ll be online, though. And hopefully I’ll have my HP Slate by then! πŸ˜‰

I deserve a brand new computer; I’ve never had one. But this will save me money on paper, and it will be much easier to go over my notes (and get them typed up!).

Note to self: Fill out FAFSA application for fall term (starts 1 July 2011).

Summer terms are not as long as the fall or spring terms. The summer terms are much, much shorter. I think Mr. Brigdon said his 1302 (English) class will be about five weeks. It’s only offered online, though. And during the fall semester it isn’t available at all.

Lately I have been thinking strongly about my major. I love math, and I’d love to teach, but I would rather make money from doing things on a computer. I want to get an Associates in web design and an Associates in graphic design – or take a few courses, at least – and a Bachelor’s in IT (I think that’s what it is?). Until yesterday, I didn’t think my mom would be happy about how I was thinking about doing that, and she was. Also, I impressed Lard because I know the PHP include code by heart[1. Maybe not full-out, but if I picture it in my head, then I know it. Sometimes I ask/look it up to be sure.]. πŸ˜›

Questions for Visitors

  1. What do you have planned for the summer?
  2. If you are not a regular commenter/visitor, how did you stumble across my website?
  3. If you have an iPhone/iPad, do the fonts look the same on your handheld as they do on a desktop/laptop?
  4. I decided that I want to see what other people think of my blog – the honest truth – so I have applied for 6birds.net to be reviewed. Know any website reviewers? I’ll even post their review on a page/blog post on here. I probably won’t change anything (but I’d try my best to make it as valid as possible if they directed me in the right direction); I just want to see what different website reviewers have to say about my blog! ^^

I will be blogging about college more this summer, and I will also be comparing/contrasting in-the-classroom classes vs. online classes. I’m also looking for a job. >.<

P.S. It’s quite odd how WordPress’s spell check allows iPhone to be a word, but finds iPad and iPod to be wrong.

I am so tired, but I can’t sleep. πŸ™

Yeah it is much easier to blog first, all my comments are always moderated. I have like 17 comments from old blogs left to reply. If i don’t hold them for moderation i will not even know someone blogged lol.. Did you go to the doctor?

Ouch, I hope you feel better soon!

  1. As of right now, just trying to get started with school. Planning on going to art school. πŸ˜€
  2. I found your blog because you commented on mine! Thanks for stopping by. πŸ™‚

I hope you get your stomach pains sorted out soon, that sounds like it sucks really bad. πŸ™

Awww. I hope you feel better soon sis. I also hope you get some sleep, I hate not being able to fall asleep. πŸ™

I don’t have an iPhone πŸ™‚

Sorry, I don’t know any. But when your site gets reviewed and you post it here, maybe I could also try it out πŸ™‚

The pain that you’re experiencing, is it abdominal pain? If so, you might have endometriosis. I had a friend freshman year who had it and from what I’ve seen with her, it seemed awfully painful. I hope that is not what you’re experiencing, however, and I hope you get good news from the doctor. πŸ™‚

  1. What do you have planned for the summer?
No definite plans yet, but I am hoping for a weekend at the lake and a week at the beach. It all depends on if my sister and I can get vacation at the same time.
  2. If you are not a regular commenter/visitor, how did you stumble across my website?
You left a comment on my blog. πŸ™‚
  3. If you have an iPhone/iPad, do the fonts look the same on your handheld as they do on a desktop/laptop?
I viewed your site on my iPod and the fonts looked the same.

Good luck at your doctor visit. I hope that it isn’t appendicitis, but something more simple to cure. πŸ™‚

@Paula,
Hopefully you will be able to get vacation ^^

Thanks; I was wondering whether the fonts would actually look the same or not! xD

i have never tried it lol, i just made those stuff up.
Why did you walk you out on your final? btw what font is this?
My summer might be boring, idk yet whats planned i just hope it’s something good.

What kind of pains are you having?

@Isi,

Oh, I forgot to reply to your questions –
I walked out on my math final (I answered as much as I could without breaking down and crying) because I felt the pains again and was having so much trouble. It really hurt, and sitting in that chair and not being able to crunch myself up to avoid pain wasn’t helping much at all. πŸ™ I should retake that class, anyway, though. I did pretty bad in math, and I was absent a lot. πŸ™

The header fonts are Chunk Five Regular, the footer text/text field text is News Cycle Regular, and the regular body text is Architects Daughter Regular. πŸ™‚ My next theme might have just News Cycle Regular and Chunk Five Regular as the fonts; I’m really lovin’ News Cycle. πŸ™‚

If I were the person giving your speech test, I’d let you make up your final some other time. You have a good reason.

It can take a while to figure out what you want to do for a career. If you’re deciding and have the resources to take all the classes that you want, then it’s nice to take some of everything to decide. It can take a while to figure out, but it feels awesome once you figure it out. It you want to go into IT, it’s not a very friendly job, but if you really love computers, then it’s probably worth it. You have time to figure things out.

This summer, I will be working as a research assistant in a lab at my university programming an autonomous security camera control protocol. It will be a lot of programming and hooking cameras to computers. It should be an interesting project, and I’m looking forward to it.

As for website reviews, I submitted my site to rev.iew.me a while back. It’s a reviewing committee, so there is no long queue of websites to wait through. However, the reviews are very hit-or-miss when it comes to quality. Some people post fantastic reviews, and other people post reviews that give very little detail and helpful feedback. Just remember when you submit your site to reviews that what someone else likes may not be what you like at all.

I’m sorry about your stomach. That sounds horrible. D: Your health is definitely more important than your finals. Those could always be made up.

  1. Nothing. Nothing at all. I plan to relax, relax, and relax.
  2. Umm…I think I was blog surfing. That’s how I usually find people.
  3. Don’t have either. D:
  4. If you want a lot of reviews, https://rev.iew.me is good. πŸ˜€
