School starts on Tuesday, but my classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays – in the morning. I am going to be going part-time, which is three classes: english, math and speech. I know only one teacher – my speech teacher. She attends Fellowship Forney, a church I used to attend. ๐ Small world…
Wal-Mart was having a sale on shoes today, and I needed a new pair of tennis shoes – $10 on selected pairs! I bought a pair of Danskin Now shoes and a pair of Dr. Scholl’s shoes for $20 total. ๐ I have a hard time finding a pair of shoes that I like. My Converse shoes are size 7 1/2, and I wear size 8 1/2. However, the Danskins seemed to be half a size to one size too small, so I had to get a 9 in them. o.o Long story short, I have new shoes! ๐
Tomorrow (Friday) I will try my best to reply to everyone’s comments. I will probably – most likely – reduce my posting frequency to one to two times per week; between school starting (and hopefully a new job) I doubt I will have much time to blog as much as I do. >.< I still will, but I am going to strive for A’s so I can hopefully receive scholarships since I will have to go to a four-year college/University to receive my Bachelor’s. ๐ Feel free to follow me on Twitter though (@thejanelively)!
Speaking of school, does anyone know where I can get a cute – not too expensive – tote bag to carry my books in? If it doesn’t have compartments, that is okay; I can just purchase a cosmetic bag from Nicole for my pencils and such! ๐
My mom is going to school, too, but her classes are from 10:40 to 3 pm, whereas mine are from 8 am to about 12:50 pm. Since I’ll have Mimi’s truck on Mondays and Wednesdays I figured I could stop by the outlet of stores between TVCC and home and see if anyone is hiring. It seems like it would be at a convenient location, no? If not, the places near home will suffice.
I think my mom is nervous about going back to school. It’s been a while for her (20 years), and she has kids. As long as Lard helps out, she should be fine. -.-
She and I are going to school on grant money – I received two (one was because I graduated secondary school within ten years), and she received one. We’re practically going for free. I’m not trying to brag. I just think it’s really cool, and a great opportunity. I couldn’t have gone to school without the money, and I now look at FAFSA as a positive thing – not a negative thing. In high school teachers told students that they would have years to pay off their loans, so that’s what I thought FAFSA was all about. But it’s not. It’s so much better.

I start back again at school soon, I can’t wait. Good luck to you and your mom on your classes. I also love getting new shoes, but I’m so picky! For a cheap bag, Vera Bradley bags. You can get one on amazon for $40, and its nice. I have one, I got it on ebay for $20. =]

That’s great that you get a grant to go to school with. It will really help you in the future to get a better job. Good luck with school for you & your mum.
Sales are always a good thing, and only $10 for a pair of shoes! that’s totally a bargin :D:D

Ohh awesome, just let me know when you want to me to set it up. You can email me at skhosting[at]live.com with all the details. ๐
I don’t think the world can end either, the human race can’t just end. If it did what would happen to the earth? Would it blow up or something?
We’re already twitter following buddies lol. ๐ I never get actual shoes from wal-mart because over here they have nothing good so i mostly just go to payless or something.
Kris
Ahhhh shoes, don’t get me started. I have way too many. So I’ll shut up on my rant right now haha. Except I have to say I heart converses! =)
Um I get my bags at Pacsun, they’re not expensive at all. I love Pacsun, they always have great stuff! ^^
Oh wow, I’d hate to go back to school after so long! Can I ask why she’s going to school? Master’s degree? I got a scholarship for college next year, though it’s not going to make it free. Takes about 1/4 of the burden off my mom’s hands. Yeah she’s paying the rest because I apparently can’t get student loans.
Texas isn’t covered in snow? I thought down south only the northernmost parts of the states were covered, and the snow totally missed Florida, haha.
I’d complain too though. Now that I’m no longer in school waiting for snow days, the snow has only become annoying! =(
Karen
Yay for new shoes (I honestly need one too) and good luck with school and job. ๐
It’s great that your mom is going to school. She’s an inspiration.

Awh, this theme is so cute! I love how it shows a preview of the comment below, it’s kinda distracting me actually! ๐ Thank you for the compliment on my theme, it’s the first one I’ve ever done using wordpress ^^
I’ve sorted out the comments now but I’ve noticed you have custom smilies! :O If you wanted to help me, you could tell me how you add custom smilies in WP ๐ Haha.
Yeah, he didn’t know what I was talking about. He was like, ‘I’ll look like an absolute freak to your online friends now!’ He got really angry with me, only jokily though ๐
Well I want to be an IT teacher when I’m older and I’m in the Young Enterprise team at school, I’m the ‘IT Director’ so that involves me creating the website for my company. So glad I know what I’m doing with stuff! Haha ๐
YOU HAVE A WAL-MART. I’ve always wanted to go to a wal-mart. It just sounds cool. ๐
I love shopping for shoes, I need to get some plain black heels for when I go away with the Young Enterprise team. I love heals. :’)

We have this program in Australia that allows you to defer all your fees. It’s not free, but you end up paying it back as soon as you get a full time job and enough money to pay it all back. I think it’s great that you were given that opportunity though. I don’t see it as bragging. Very lucky of you. ๐ I’m sure your mum will be okay studying. My mum was always worried when she started doing her beauty course a few years ago. It was just a course, no guaranteed job; now she’s a beauty consultant. I think it’s amazing – she still wanted to work after having kids and after not working or studying anything for so long.
I don’t know where you can get a bag. I always used to go to the Asian stationery shops here and buy these cute zip up folders to put my books in. I loved it! But I got over it after some time. Now I do want a sort of cute laptop case hah. I hope you find a nice bag!
Best of luck looking for a job. My mum told me to get one near uni. Bleh. Too far, IMO. I’d rather get one near home as I’d also be more comfortable with it.
Finding a job is hard. ๐
I don’t really write drafts. I have my posts sort of planned out in my head. Sometimes I have nothing to blog about, sometimes I have lots I can talk about.
My ex did care, but he was also a bit bitter and cold – had some personality disorders, which I came to accept of course, but sometimes he didn’t really give as much as he took. He didn’t seem grateful for a lot of things I did for him. ๐ A bit selfish, I guess.
I don’t know, it took me ages to get over my ex. I had a friend between him and James – a friend who pretty much screwed up everything. It was this stupid friend who probably led me closer to James; I talked to James more about this guy (when we were still friends)… he was really there for me through the hard times. This crap friend was terrible.
hugs thank you ๐
Ahh that sucks, we have a concrete driveway, barely room for problems. :X I am glad the snow is gone now though, it must have been a bit annoying to deal with!
I usually pass time by writing… usually poems. Or watching or reading. I’m not that good at puzzles but I love how they kinda make your brain work really hard.
Well, if it will be it will be. I don’t know what to say, but if you like each other it just might work out.
Take care <3

Maybe it’s ’cause I’m English… But your school system sounds really confusing! What’s FAFSA?
Yay for new shoes! ๐ I love shopping and it’s cool that your planning to work at an outlet! You’ll save a ton of money if they give you staff discount too!

The Blog Chronicles is an activity we’re running at Sinderella MB. Once a week a new topic is posted (usually by me lol) members take part and blog about the topic, and add their link to the appropriate thread. You get more comments and hits ’cause usually the members go around commenting on each other’s blogs too. There are other benefits within the forum like coins etc. but if nothing else, it’s helpful if you can’t think of what to blog about! Btw, if you lost your login info I checked and your username is Liz to get your password just click here https://sin.derella.me/misc.php?action=lostpw ๐
Hope that was helpful lol and I also hope to see around at Sinderella! ๐

Good luck with school, and good luck to your Mom, too. That’s awesome that she is going back to school. I wish FAFSA helped me out! We had to take out loans, because we barely received anything for grants. Now, that I’m in grad school, it’s basically paying out of pocket since I don’t want more loans to deal with right now. But I’m glad to know that FAFSA actually did help you guys. That’s awesome that you are both able to go for almost free. I hated having to fill it out every year just to find out my family and I rarely qualified for grants. =
As for bags, I LOVE Kohl’s and TJ Maxx for big bags on the cheap. I purchased a huge black bag from TJ Maxx a while back that I use for school for only $20.00. It’s huge, has some compartments and even came with a laptop case. If you have a Marshalls or TJ near you, I’d try them out.
Aimee
Hey, good luck with school :))
I hope we have Wal-Mart here in the Philippines!!!
Stephanie
FAFSA has helped me a lot. Partly because of it, and partly because my school has an enormous endowment for a school of its small size, I’ve been able to get, and am thankful for, an amazing education. There are people who have a lot of loans to pay off, and depending on what kind of job you get afterwards, it can very well take years. FAFSA is an investment to educate the country essentially, or encourage more people to get higher education. Use your grant well, study hard, don’t go to a university that’s too expensive for you (if you can get grants to pay for quite a bit, then go for it!).
I find that using a backpack or a thick laptop bag is good for books. Hopefully, you won’t have to carry too many at once. Sadly, I don’t remember seeing good bags at Wal-Mart.
