This post is going to be very picture-worthy, and I took them off of my old Facebook, so I am apologizing for any inadequate quality in advance. I hope you enjoy these, though! They aren’t really in a specific order, as I do not have the exact dates…

I actually don’t even remember taking these – I just found them on my memory card! I do love how the rain has a bit of a shimmer to it and how it reminds me of glitter.

This is my cousin and I at my graduation. I celebrated it with family at the nearby Luby’s shortly after. I didn’t really want anything
big, you know?

This is me at my graduation walking to where I’m supposed to be. I am the one whose white chords stand out – I’m “in front of” the blonde with the orange.

Who doesn’t love eighteenth birthday shots? The highchair is Ruby’s; this was when Kimily was pregnant with Ruby[1. I lived at my dad’s house until about late June 2009, then moved back in with my mom.].

I don’t know when this was taken, but I’m pretty sure that it was my senior year. It might have been after a Senior Saturday field trip that I had to go on[2. Before you freak out about going to school on a Saturday, think about the
week off I received after graduation because I completed my three Senior Saturdays! Seniors who hadn’t completed their senior Saturdays yet could not walk the stage or receive their diploma like the rest of the seniors, hence why I did my three Senior Saturdays.]. Now that I’ve typed all of this out, I’m pretty sure that it happened on a Senior Saturday, because I remember that day so well: Everyone was shocked that the “shy, quiet” girl was riding a motorcycle. π High schoolers find it “cool” when they see a motorcycle on the campus, ya know! π

Whether you believe me or not, it was so humid on the bus and at night that my hair curled up – and looked quite horrible! π This was taken on the night of Winter Retreat ‘9 (in January or February?)
I don’t think Alice and I would have been as great of friends that we are now if it weren’t for this… This is what lead to Alice’s baptism…

Left to right: Me, Alice, Brittany, Maddi
It was the Wednesday after Winter Retreat, and it was amazing. We all sat together, and I can’t remember who was on stage talking, but it was so random – Alice was next to me one minute, and then the minute after, she was gone! It was so weird, and we were all trying to figure out where she had gone! Moments later, we saw her in the line, and our entire row (all of us) stood and clapped and cheered. It was really awesome. :P[3. Ew, that was a cheesy moment…]
I miss Maddi… :/

It turned out that Brittany attended the same school as Alice and I, which meant we attended the same campus team…

…I’m not even going to try and do the “left-to-right” image caption here, but the girl in the leopard costume is Miranda, Sonja was one of our camp (Winter Retreat) counselors, and the tall guy is Cameron… The guy in the shades is Matthew, and the guy in the white T-shirt behind Sonja is Garrett.

Todd and Mama Lois… Todd was a wee-little one, wasn’t he? (March or April 2010)
…This is all you’re getting for now! π Thank you for letting me share a few major – but also minor – events that happened in my life with you! π

Oh wow those tree photos are so beautiful! Congrats on the nice photos π Your family is beautiful.
Liz
Haha, I don’t have an iPhone or anything like that, so… π
Thanks! π
Kris
Those rain pictures look so pretty! And I wish I had graduation pictures and 18th birthday pictures … both events I missed. I think I really suck at life just judging by that.
I don’t know about most people but I wouldn’t be caught dead in a t-shirt and shorts … just not me. You make me feel so vain about my dressing … haha.
Liz
I don’t mean to make you feel bad about how you dress. To be honest, you make me feel like I would be someone you blogged about horribly we ever bumped into each other, and then I would read it, and be all like, “Yeah… That was me…”, and then feel really awkward about it? D;
If it makes you feel any better, I didn’t go to prom. According to the people who went, though, everything was completely awkward between a student and a teacher because things supposedly “got out of hand”, so I’m glad that I missed it. Graduation was boring since a few hundred students were graduating at once and we had to do everything quickly so that L.D. Bell High School (a rival school) could get in and do their graduation, too.

Ohh pictures!! I love memories. π Wow your graduations was super packed!
Sakura
Wow. I like your comment form. π
I am bad at remembering the pronunciation of the names too. >.<
Wow. You graduated? I still have 2 more years before I graduate… Did you further your studies after graduation?
Liz
Haha, I’m 20. π It’s probably difficult to find a lot of older bloggers around – or it is a challenge for me, anyway. Yes, my second term of community college starts this fall.

These are wonderful photos, Liz! I love how photography can capture and keep those amazing minor and major moments in life π We’re immortalised in photos it seems.
Thanks for sharing them π
Liz
Haha, thank you! <3

Liz,
You are such a good photographer. Those three opening shots are award winners. You should them on a stock photo site. I bet you could sell them or get money for their use.
I loved all the other shots. It’s nice to see you with your friends. I take it the picture of Todd was with your great grandmother or am I wrong. Whatever. Todd is amazing small in that picture:~)
I hope things are going well!
Liz
Thanks! π I’ve actually tried, believe it or not! …I’m sort of thinking of just starting my own stock photo website, or at least getting a subscription on one that allows me to make money from my photography. My mom and I have already decided to do it for ourselves, but we would (of course) work the profits fairly! But I also want to do my own thing, so I’m pretty sure that that’s what I’m going to do.
…Right after I upgrade my Flickr, of course!
Thank you! It was really fun to see just how much I’ve changed over the past few years!
And yes, Todd was with my great grandmother. ^^ I know!!! I had just got him! She used to always almost sit on him, and she would always be so afraid of sitting on him, too! π
Dipika
I love those pictures with the rain…so pretty!!! I am planning to do some picture blogs when I get my new camera. The pictures that you shared are awesome…they narrate all the incidents that took place in your life. The graduation place looks massive XD. I love motorcycles, very cool indeed! I love how cute Todd looks in that pic :3
Liz
Thanks! π I love the ones with the rain, too… They’re so cool and different, and I’ve never pictures with such effects before! π
Georgina
Harley? Harley is SO CUTE! I love that photo with you two in it. So adorable and you look really happy as well. π
I love the first few photos you have there. They are really lovely.
Sorry about your hair reacting to the weather. π I guess I should feel blessed that I have straight hair. I really like your hair in the photo after that one, where you’re on the far left.
Your graduation looks like it was a big thing. Or at least, there were many people there. At mine we had our whole gym full but it didn’t seem like there were that many people. Or maybe because the gym was small but it was full anyway… xD
Liz
Haha, yes, Harley is adorable! I used to make videos with them on YouTube… I’m too lazy to search the links and look them up, though. Heh. D;
Thanks!
LOL. That was actually an “eh” night for me. It was really cold, and my sweater was so tight. …Or was it my top at the time? OH. NO. WAIT. π It was freezing inside and outside, but it was also humid outside. I remember that now. P: Blah.
The ceremony was huge, but the after thing was lunch at Luby’s. π
