To wait is to adventure.

I’ve come to realization that waiting makes people discover more about themselves. Waiting for the first day of school for the kids to go back to school has driven me up a hill and down a well[1. Jack and Jill reference.].

Waiting for registration has made me feel like my second first day of college will never come for me because it seems so far away. I’m excited to go back, really – and I will be blogging everyday this September (maybe even with some video logs).

Speaking of school, I’m trying to decide if I should introduce myself as Liz or as Sarah. Unfortunately, I’m not going to get to have a dorm this semester because FAFSA [apparently] does not cover it, which means I’ll have to try for one next year. Therefore people and teachers at this school already know me as Sarah, so choosing to go by my nickname would somehow screw me over either way. Perhaps I should wait until I am in the other campus living on campus in a dorm to do that? /seesaw

I think waiting makes me stronger. Even though I say this, I’ll probably never appreciate this hypothesis – but I’m still saying it because a large portion of me finds it to be at least partially true.

I think I’m going to introduce myself as Liz(a) on the web for a while and see how it all goes. Every now and then I feel pretty, and – since this happens only rarely – I want to take advantage of it whilst it lasts. Perhaps I might even find a handsome guy who fancies me during this phase? However, a phase is a phase, so it wouldn’t be too good. I just want a close guy friend for now who lives close by.

My wait for Monday is… Well, here’s this Monday: /slow

Aww good luck on your dorm situation! I’m a sophomore in college this year and I have to live in a dorm, I’m scared shitless XD I stayed in one for awhile but I had a bat-shit-crazy roommate who would bring random guys in for sexual favors… WHEN I WAS IN THE ROOM! But, enough with my horror stories. It’s really not all that bad if you can handle your roommate, and if you get a single, EVEN BETTER. I had to take out a loan to get my dorm this semester 🙁 Friggin’ budget cuts. /tear
Haha, I’m quite regretful that I had to go through that too, but they recently decided they were going to change their terms of service so that they weren’t prosecuting “brush thievery” anymore and focusing on layouts, etc. I still don’t know who died and made them God of the internet, but, as long as they leave me and my half-assed resource site alone, I’m fine with it 😛

@Sandra – I’m not going to get one until next semester (or I hope so, anyway).

Waiting can be fun or excruciating…depends on what you are waiting for. Paperwork is never fun so I hope you can finish up with your registration and stuff quickly.

Hmm I don’t know the story behind Sarah and Liz so I can’t comment on that…but seems like doing it while you are in a dorm might be better.

Ok scratch that…just read about your name…hmm I guess you can switch to Liza if you want…both Liz and Liza sound equally cool and fun to me XD. Guy friends can be nice…in the sense that since I have too many “boyish” hobbies I always had more guy friends than girls and I liked it that way.

Yeah, I’m really bad at changing my layout a lot… Or is it good? Either way, I have trouble keeping it the same.

It doesn’t really matter now, since I can’t exactly attend school this semester now, anyway, thanks to FAFSA.

Congratulations on your 200th post! How exciting is that?? As for your nickname, I think you should introduce however you feel the most comfortable. I see nothing wrong with going by your nickname. I have friends who have done that. And wtf at the Fafsa not covering dorm expenses? I would have thought that was a guarantee. I’ve never lived in a dorm, so I wouldn’t know, but that just seems nuts to me.

Whenever I’m anticipating something, I usually act like nothing is going to happen and continue on with life as normal, and then all of a sudden that special day/event will come. Waiting for something exciting bothers me because I’ll end up thinking about it at night, and because I’m thinking too much, it’ll be hard for me to fall asleep.

People call me a lot of different names. I’ve never actually come up with a nickname for myself. “Nugget” was given to me by another person.

I think Sarah sounds nice for an introduction but you could ask your friends to call you Liz as personally I think it seems more warm and welcoming. Congratulations on your 200th post and hopefully you’ll be able to work towards 300. 😉

Meh, I’m going to just have to go by Liz at the other campus. Just because Sarah is my first name doesn’t mean I can’t go by a nickname. I don’t even have to like that name. I’ve went 20 years with this name. It’s only fair I get to go by a nickname.

I like both Liz and Sarah, but I think you should go for Liz. It’s shorter, I think it’s not that common and easy to remember.

I used to be a very impatient person when I was younger, but I know that waiting makes you wiser and brings good things, always. I have the tendency to rush sometimes, because this is who I am, but I often try to control myself.

Ahhh I’m excited to start school again too on Monday!

Because of certain financial aid issues (I discussed them in my latest post), I most likely won’t be attending school Monday – or this semester, at all.
